Community Policing Unit
The Lawrence Police Department Community Policing
Unit is dedicated in it’s commitment to work with
neighborhood groups, civic leaders, as well as individuals
in the continued effort to improve the quality of life
for all Lawrence residents.
The Lawrence Police Community Policing Unit consists
of a day and night shift of Community Police Officers,
a Marine Unit that includes a 19 foot boat and a 4 person
jet ski, 2 all-terrain-vehicles, and a Motorcycle Unit.
All Community Police Officers ride bicycles in their
areas during their tour of duty.
